photos of Hercules Milas / verliga

One more photo from Verliga, the sources of Acheloos (also known as "Aspropotamos") river, at 2000 m altitude, in the heart of Pindus (or "Pindos") mountain range, the "spine" of Greece. So remote, difficult to reach, but one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen, even this time of year (end of summer) when the water is so little. It's here, where the ancient "River-God" starts its long journey. Trully a "must-see" , but most important a "must-feel" for the lovers of the Greek mountains.
Aspropotamos region, Trikala, Thessaly, Greece
